This summer, Living Hope will have an Amazing Race competition and we want YOU to be a part! We will not be running or really even exercising, just having fun spending time together! Here are the steps to follow to win the challenge!

Step 1: Sign up on Sunday, June 1st after church. On this day we will register teams for the event. You can come with a team that you have already put together, or you can just show up and we will help you find a team. Any age can join! Even visitors can be a part. Bring anyone you would like to church on June 1st and we will help everyone find a team. If you can’t make it on that Sunday, just text Jaime (214) 403-1083 or Savannah (214) 532-3032 and we will get you the information needed.

Step 2: Bring $12 for a t-shirt on June 1st. If you would like a t-shirt to wear for our events, bring $12 for each person to our kick off meeting and make sure to tell us your size. We will order the t-shirts and have them ready the following Sunday, June 8th. The shirts will be a great way to advertise our church and give us an opportunity to share Jesus out in our community. 

Step 3: Choose and complete challenges from a list of choices. At the information meeting on June 1st, we will give you a list of “challenges” or tasks you can complete throughout the summer. Each of the challenges will be worth points. These might be things like church attendance, or helping with VBS or Joseph’s House. There will also be fun tasks that help you get to know your church family better. For example, one challenge is taking another team out for a meal or coffee. Basically, we are just thinking of fun ways for our church family to spend time together. We hope this grows our fellowship and sprouts new friendships. You can do as many challenges as you like, and you can complete them when you choose. Everyone has busy schedules, so you can do what is best for you! There are no rules, just fun!

Step 4: Send a text, or a selfie, or a video of you completing the challenge to Jaime or Savannah! We will keep track of points for you. Just give us a heads up that you finished the task anytime this summer.

Step 5: Come ready to compete on RACE day, Saturday, July 26! This will be the final day of our challenge. We will wear our shirts if you have one. This day can best be described as an escape room type activity. We will have stations set up with fun activities and puzzles. You and your team will compete and try to earn even more points. Of course the team with the most points wins! You might use your points for life lines and hints, or you might just save them. The choice will be up to you! May the best team win!
