Living Hope supports our men and women in the armed forces. We know that it can be an emotional struggle having a loved one in the military. We are dedicated to help, encourage, and care for you, your family, and your soldier whether they are in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Marines. Join us in supporting our troops worldwide by sending care packages, attending a support group, and simply by praying for safety and security of all our military men and women. Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Our Veterans and Active Duty

LHBC Veterans Day-6-3-min.jpg

We honor those who serve and who are actively serving.  Without their sacrifice for us and our country we wouldn't be able to live the lives we do today.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
— John 15:13 (NIV)

Deployment Ribbon

LHBC Veterans Day-12-3-min.jpg

When one of our members or one of their family members is actively deployed, we put a yellow ribbon on a tree in our parking lot as a reminder to pray for that individual serving our country.

When the deployed returns home we, as a church body, all go out to the parking lot and gather around that tree.  They or one of their family members cut off the ribbon and we celebrate them, their service, and Christ's protection over them while deployed.

Whiskers for Wounded Warriors

Living Hope proudly supports a local organization based here in Garland called Whiskers for Wounded Warriors.  This group's goal is to raise awareness for our wounded military men and women and to help all veterans. Through direct contributions to individuals, their families and other groups caring for veterans in need, W4WW says, “Thank you for your service and our freedom.”
